FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Q: I have tried logging on and the system does not recognise my details.
Please note that this system was revamped in October 2018. If you have not visited the site since then, you will need to re-register (only once).
Please also note that the login info supplied for the RISKAfrica app will not be the same for the CPD portal. This means you will need to register (only once) if you have not already done so.
If you cannot remember your login details, please hit reset my password. And please check your junk/spam folder if it does not come through immediately.
Q: What is the association number referred to in the registration?
The association number refers to the body to which you belong, i.e. IISA or FPI, as you will need to be a paid-up member of one of these in order to claim your CPD points
Q: I do not see the previously completed CPD tests on this new system
Tests completed successfully before October 2018 will still be available on our old system and should have already been submitted to the IISA on your behalf; these will unfortunately not reflect on the new system.
Q: My page is frozen and I cannot save my test
We suggest using Chrome or Firefox browsers; please note that Internet Explorer no longer supports a lot of the modern app technology and some of our users have had issues with it. Should it not be this, kindly contact email@example.com
Q: Why do I need to be a member of the IISA or FPI to claim my CPD points?
RISKAfrica does not issue CPD hours; in other words, these are not RISKAfrica CPD hours but IISA, and soon FPI-allocated CPD hours. It is, however, the responsibility of RISKAfrica to ensure the high standards of these two associations are met by the quality of the editorial we produce, thereby allowing you to earn your CPD points by reading RISKAfrica and answering the relevant questions correctly.
Q: How many CPD points can I earn?
As an active member of the IISA, you can claim up to three CPD hours per issue by reading the content and answering all the questions correctly. Only a 100% pass is acceptable.
Q: Where can I find the RISKAfrica publication in order to complete my CPD?
RISKAfrica Magazine is now available as a digital app across Amazon, Google Play and iTunes. The print issue is no longer available as we have moved forward into the new paperless digital era.
The new digital offering is available via our subscription link on our website.
Alternatively, you can log on to one of the relevant links below: Web, Google Play (Android) or iStore. Please note that the new digital version has been created for mobile devices so functionality will not be the same as if viewed on a desktop.
